The historic palace of the Lamido of Adamawa, His Royal Highness Dr. Alhaji Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha, was filled with celebration and reverence on Saturday, November 22, 2025, as he conferred one of the emirate’s highly respected traditional titles, Sarkin Alhazan Adamawa, upon travel industry leader Sadiq Bashir Manzo.

The Lamido, known for his deep commitment to promoting cultural heritage, social development, and religious values across the emirate, bestowed the title in recognition of Manzo’s outstanding contribution to Hajj facilitation, pilgrimage administration, and community service in Adamawa State and beyond.

Under the leadership of Lamido Barkindo, the Adamawa Emirate continues to strengthen its tradition of acknowledging excellence, integrity and service to humanity. His reign has been marked by strategic efforts to honor individuals whose work advances the prosperity and well-being of citizens.

Speaking through the council, the Lamido emphasized the importance of elevating personalities who embody hard work, humility and commitment to societal progress.
“The title of Sarkin Alhazan is reserved for those who have shown uncommon dedication to supporting the spiritual journeys of our people. Sadiq Bashir Manzo’s work in strengthening pilgrimage services reflects the values we uphold in this emirate,” the Lamido declared.
The ceremony buttressed his vision of recognizing individuals who contribute to the cultural, religious and economic advancement of the emirate.
