Sadiq Bashir Manzo’s journey from a young entrepreneur in Yola to the head of a thriving travel brand in Nigeria reflects his deep commitment to advancing and contributing to the nation’s travel and tourism industry. His leadership has been defined by a focus on trust and service excellence, a philosophy that has earned the company multiple commendations and awards, including recognitions from the Adamawa State House of Assembly, the Nigerian Youth League and the National Association of Northern Nigerian Students (NANNS).

Most notably, Manzo Travels and Tours received international recognition from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the Umrah and Ziyarah Forum 2025 in alignment with the Kingdom Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, for its outstanding contributions to facilitating pilgrimage travel.

But beyond accolades, it’s the company’s record of going above and beyond for clients that truly defines its brand.

The 2022 Umrah Challenge: A Story of Dedication and Commitment

One of the most remarkable examples of Manzo Travels and Tours’ commitment to its clients came during the 2022 Umrah pilgrimage. That year, the company had successfully arranged travel logistics for about 319 pilgrims who were set to fly with Azman Air to Makkah.

Just four days before departure, the airline notified Manzo Travels and Tours that it would be unable to operate the flight due to aircraft unavailability. “It was a difficult moment,” Sadiq recalls. “All our pilgrims were ready, emotionally, financially and spiritually. They were already counting down the days to their departure.”

Faced with the crisis, Sadiq and his team immediately began exploring alternatives. After reaching out to several carriers, they connected with Badr Airlines, a Sudan-based airline. Despite tight schedules and full bookings, Badr Airlines created space for two additional aircraft to accommodate the pilgrims under Manzo Travels and Tours.

The company successfully airlifted its clients from Yola to Kano, and onward to Makkah, ensuring that every pilgrim made it in time for the spiritual journey.

However, the return trip presented another challenge. As the pilgrims prepared to return home, the Sudan conflict escalated, grounding flights and trapping the aircraft in Khartoum. Rather than abandon its clients, Manzo Travels and Tours paid for 14 additional days of hotel accommodation, ensuring that the pilgrims were comfortable and safe until it was possible to fly again.

“These were unplanned expenses,” Sadiq explained, “but we couldn’t leave our people stranded. We took full responsibility until everyone was safely back home.”

When the situation finally stabilized, the company arranged alternative flights for the pilgrims to return to Nigeria. Later, when Badr Airlines refunded the ticket costs, every affected pilgrim was reimbursed in full by Manzo Travels and Tours.

That episode, though financially demanding, became a defining moment for the company, one that reinforced its reputation for integrity and customer-centered service. “It wasn’t just about business anymore,” Sadiq reflected. “It was about humanity, accountability and keeping our word.”

Building Trust, One Client at a Time

Stories like this have made Manzo Travels and Tours a symbol of dependability. From facilitating study and business travel to organizing tours and group trips, the company continues to raise the bar for service delivery.

Its affiliation with international and national bodies including the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the National Association of Nigerian Travel Agencies (NANTA) and the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) ensures that all operations adhere to global standards.

Sadiq attributes the company’s success to teamwork and genuine passion for people. “We don’t just sell tickets; we create experiences,” he says. “Every client deserves peace of mind when they travel, and that’s what we provide.”

A Vision Beyond Borders

Looking ahead, Sadiq envisions expanding Manzo Travels and Tours across Nigeria and beyond. Plans are already underway to strengthen the company’s digital platforms, open more regional offices, and form new international partnerships to better serve clients.

“At the end of the day, our goal is simple,” he says. “We want to make travel easier, safer, and more affordable for every Nigerian. Whether it’s for business, education, or faith, we’re here to help people reach their destinations.”

From a small local operation in Yola to a nationally recognized travel brand, Manzo Travels and Tours has proven that integrity and commitment to service excellence remains the true passports to success. Under Sadiq Bashir Manzo’s leadership, the company continues to redefine what it means to travel with confidence.
