British Nigerian boxing star Anthony Joshua has reportedly relocated his £150 million business empire from the United Kingdom to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, confirming the move through corporate filings that list the UAE as his new country of residence.

Documents linked to several of Joshua’s companies show that the former heavyweight world champion has formally updated his residential status from the UK to the Gulf state. The filings involve key firms within his business portfolio including Sparta Promotions Limited and 258 Investments Limited.

The companies form part of a business network estimated to be worth about £150 million and cover activities such as boxing promotions sponsorship deals investments and commercial partnerships.

Financial disclosures show that Sparta Promotions reported profits exceeding £20 million in 2024 while paying more than £6 million in corporate taxes in the UK. Joshua also received dividend payments of more than £10 million in the same year which would normally be subject to UK income tax rules.

Dubai is widely known for its zero personal income tax policy which has made it an attractive destination for high net worth individuals entrepreneurs and sports personalities seeking tax efficiency and global business opportunities.

Joshua has maintained a long relationship with Dubai where he frequently conducts training camps promotional activities and brand partnerships. One of his most famous appearances in the city came in 2017 when he held a sparring session on the helipad of the iconic Burj Al Arab hotel.

The relocation places Joshua among a growing number of wealthy public figures who have chosen to base their business interests outside the United Kingdom. Analysts say the move reflects broader trends among global athletes who are diversifying their commercial operations across international financial hubs.
