The Anambra State Government has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with a Saudi based technology firm to boost investment in the state’s technology sector and accelerate digital development.

The agreement is aimed at attracting foreign investment and strengthening the state’s position as a growing technology hub in Nigeria. Officials said the partnership will focus on developing digital infrastructure promoting innovation and supporting technology driven enterprises.

According to government representatives, the collaboration will help create opportunities for local entrepreneurs and young technology professionals while also opening the door for international technology companies to invest in the state.

Authorities explained that the partnership will focus on areas such as software development digital services innovation hubs and advanced technology training programmes for youths.

Officials noted that the agreement aligns with the state’s broader economic development plan which prioritizes innovation technology and knowledge based industries as key drivers of growth.

The government also expressed optimism that the partnership will encourage technology transfer strengthen skills development and create employment opportunities for residents.
