The Kogi State Government has approved the immediate release of March salaries to civil servants across the state ahead of the forthcoming Eid al-Fitr celebration.

State authorities said the early payment is aimed at supporting workers and their families as they prepare for the Sallah festivities. Officials explained that the decision reflects the government’s commitment to the welfare of public servants and its effort to ease financial pressure during the festive period.

According to government sources, the salary payments cover workers across ministries departments and agencies under the state government. The early disbursement is expected to allow civil servants to make adequate preparations for the celebration which marks the end of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan.

Officials also noted that timely salary payments remain a priority of the administration as part of efforts to maintain morale and productivity within the state workforce.
