The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has announced the resumption of train services along the Abuja–Kaduna corridor following Monday’s disruption.

The agency confirmed that operations have returned after safety checks and necessary assessments were carried out in the aftermath of the incident, which affected passengers and temporarily halted movement on the busy rail line.

According to NRC officials, the decision to resume services was taken after engineers and safety teams certified the track and rolling stock as fit for operation. Additional measures have also been introduced to ensure passenger safety and prevent future occurrences.

The Abuja–Kaduna rail route, which connects Abuja and Kaduna, remains one of the most heavily used transport corridors in Nigeria, serving thousands of commuters daily.

Passengers have been advised to adhere to safety guidelines and follow official updates from the corporation as normal services continue.

The NRC reiterated its commitment to maintaining safety standards and improving service delivery across the national rail network.
