Siminalayi Fubara, Governor of Rivers State, has announced that the 33.5km Elele–Umudioga–Egbeda–Ubimini–Ikiri–Omoku Road has reached 90 percent completion.

Governor Fubara stated that construction work on the road is progressing steadily and confirmed that it is on track to be ready for inauguration in May. He described the project as a major infrastructure milestone for the state, aimed at improving transportation, boosting local trade, and enhancing socio-economic activities along the corridor.

The governor emphasized that the state government remains committed to delivering quality roads and other critical infrastructure to improve the lives of residents. He also assured that safety standards and construction quality are being closely monitored to ensure long-lasting benefits.

Residents and stakeholders in the affected communities have expressed optimism that the completed road will reduce travel time, ease the movement of goods, and attract more investments to the region.
