The Lagos State Real Estate Regulatory Authority (LASRERA) has sealed the office of a suspected impostor operating as a licensed realtor in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State. According to the authority, the individual was found to be pretending to hold a real estate license, misleading clients and engaging in property transactions without proper authorization.

According to the authority, the individual was found to be pretending to hold a real estate license, misleading clients and engaging in property transactions without proper authorization. LASRERA operatives acted swiftly to shut down the office and prevent further fraudulent activities.

The agency also announced the launch of a statewide clampdown on unlicensed real estate agents, warning that anyone found operating without the proper license will face sanctions, including closure of offices and legal action.

LASRERA emphasized its commitment to protecting property buyers, investors, and the public from scams, stressing that all real estate operators in Lagos State must be properly registered and licensed to carry out transactions.

Property owners and clients are being urged to verify the credentials of real estate agents before entering agreements, in order to avoid falling victim to fraudulent schemes.
