A coalition of Arab and Muslim countries including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and United Arab Emirates has called on Iran to immediately halt its attacks following a high level ministerial meeting held in Riyadh.
The meeting brought together foreign ministers from about a dozen countries, including Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Pakistan, Turkey, and others, amid rising tensions across the Gulf region. In a joint statement, the countries strongly condemned Iran’s recent strikes targeting civilian infrastructure and energy facilities.
The ministers described the attacks as unacceptable and warned that continued aggression could further destabilise the region. They emphasized the need for Iran to respect international law and the sovereignty of neighboring states.
The statement also reaffirmed the right of affected countries to defend themselves while urging a return to diplomacy and dialogue to prevent further escalation.
The development comes after a series of missile and drone attacks across the Gulf, including strikes on oil and gas facilities in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE, which have raised global concerns over energy security and regional stability.
Analysts say the unified stance by regional powers signals growing alarm over the widening conflict and may increase pressure on Iran to de-escalate.
However, with tensions still high and retaliatory threats ongoing, the situation remains volatile, with fears of a broader regional confrontation.
