Iran has launched a new wave of attacks targeting key oil and gas facilities in the Gulf, striking refineries in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait in a major escalation of the ongoing Middle East conflict.

According to multiple reports, the strikes hit critical infrastructure including the SAMREF refinery in Saudi Arabia and major refining facilities in Kuwait, triggering fires and forcing temporary shutdowns of operations.

The attacks were described as retaliatory measures by Iran following earlier strikes on its energy infrastructure, particularly the South Pars gas field.

Officials in affected countries confirmed damage to installations, while emergency teams were deployed to contain fires and secure facilities. In Kuwait, drone strikes reportedly caused fires at key refineries, raising concerns over supply disruptions.

The escalation has already sent shockwaves through global energy markets, with oil prices surging sharply amid fears of prolonged supply disruptions. Brent crude reportedly climbed above $118 per barrel following the attacks.
