The All Progressives Congress (APC) has slated Tuesday, March 24, 2026, for the screening of aspirants contesting for national offices as part of preparations for its upcoming national convention.
According to the party, the exercise will be held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel.
In a statement issued by the Secretary of the Screening Committee, Isa Yuguda, only aspirants who have duly purchased and submitted their Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms will be eligible to participate.
He added that all candidates must appear in person for the screening and are expected to present relevant documents for verification. Aspirants were also advised to arrive early to ensure a smooth process.
The screening forms part of a broader timetable released by the party in December 2025, outlining activities leading up to the convention. The process began with membership e-registration in December and has since progressed through various stages, including congresses at ward, local government, state, and zonal levels, as well as the resolution of related appeals.
The APC’s national convention is scheduled to take place from March 25 to March 28, 2026, marking the culmination of the party’s internal electoral process.
