The All Progressives Congress (APC) has removed former Deputy National Chairman (South), Emma Eneukwu, and Deputy National Organising Secretary, Nze Duru, during its just concluded national convention in Abuja.
Despite retaining most members of its National Working Committee (NWC), both Eneukwu and Duru lost their positions following internal party decisions reflected in the “Unity List” circulated among delegates, where their names were absent.
Ben Nwoye was announced as the new Deputy National Chairman (South), replacing Eneukwu, while Emeka Okafor emerged as the new Deputy National Organising Secretary, taking over from Duru after internal consultations.
Re-elected National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda, described his return as a renewed mandate to serve, pledging commitment to party unity and national development.
Other key officials retained include Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru as National Secretary and Dayo Israel as National Youth Leader, alongside several returning and newly elected party executives.
The convention reaffirmed APC’s consensus approach, with most positions filled unopposed as the party seeks to strengthen its internal structure ahead of future political contests.
