Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the governor of Ondo State, has dismissed all political aides in a major restructuring of his administration. The move affects all Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants, effectively dissolving the existing political aide structure.
The governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, stated that the decision is aimed at enhancing efficiency and improving service delivery across the state. While acknowledging the contributions of outgoing aides, Aiyedatiwa wished them well and announced plans to appoint about 1,000 new aides.
The new appointees will be drawn from the 203 wards across the 18 local government areas of the state, reflecting the administration’s goal of strengthening coordination and injecting fresh capacity into governance.
