Governor Ron DeSantis has signed a bill to rename the Palm Beach International Airport as the “President Donald J. Trump International Airport.

”The move, however, still requires administrative steps, including updates by the Federal Aviation Administration, which clarified that while it does not approve name changes, it must update navigational charts and databases.

The airport is located about two miles from Mar-a-Lago, the private residence of Donald Trump.

Since returning to office in January 2025, Trump has continued efforts to leave his mark on major public institutions, including adding his name to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
