Super Eagles will aim for another victory when they face Jordan National Team in an international friendly in Antalya, Turkey, on Tuesday. Head Coach Eric Chelle expressed confidence after Nigeria’s recent 2-1 win over Iran, with goals from Moses Simon and Akor Adams.

Despite missing defenders Semi Ajayi and Bruno Onyemaechi, Chelle plans adjustments in defence, likely bringing in Zaidu Sanusi while retaining Bright Osayi-Samuel at right back. Midfield sees Alex Iwobi earn his 98th cap, partnering captain Wilfred Ndidi, with support from Frank Onyeka, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, and Raphael Onyedika.

In attack, Simon is expected to feature alongside Samuel Chukwueze, Ademola Lookman, or Akor Adams, with Paul Onuachu, Chidera Ejuke, Philip Otele, and Collins Yira Sor also available.

Jordan National Team, nicknamed Al-Nashama, arrive in strong form, having lost only once in their last five matches, including wins over Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Egypt. Nigeria and Jordan have met twice at senior level, each winning once.

New invitee Emmanuel Fernandez described his call-up as a major career milestone, highlighting his journey from college football to appearances in the UEFA Europa League.

The friendly is part of the Super Eagles’ preparations to maintain their unbeaten streak in regulation time over the last five matches, which includes victories over Algeria, Mozambique, Iran, and a penalty shootout win against Egypt in the Africa Cup of Nations third-place match.
