Bola Tinubu is expected to commission six major infrastructure projects during his first official visit to Lagos, highlighting key achievements of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration.

The projects lined up for inauguration include the Ojota-Opebi Link Bridge, the Lagos State Geographic Information Service (LAGIS) building, and the Lagos Multi-Agency Complex in Alausa. Others are the Lagos Fresh Food Hub in Abijo, the upgraded Tolu Schools Complex in Ajegunle, and the Maracana sports facility featuring multiple mini-football pitches.

According to state officials, the projects are designed to ease traffic congestion, improve public service delivery, boost food distribution, and enhance education and recreation across the state. They are also seen as part of a broader effort to position Lagos as a modern, globally competitive city.

Officials noted that the Ojota-Opebi Link Bridge, originally conceived decades ago, now provides a vital connection between key commercial and residential areas, significantly improving mobility within the metropolis.

The state government added that the visit underscores strong collaboration between the federal and Lagos State governments, while assuring residents of adequate traffic and security arrangements during the commissioning events.
