Opposition figure Buba Galadima has declared that President Bola Tinubu will lose the 2027 presidential election, claiming that any opponent, “even a corpse,” could defeat him at the polls.

Galadima made the remark while praising the ADC for successfully holding its convention despite what he described as threats and intimidation aimed at stopping the gathering.

According to him, the convention venue was nearly withdrawn after alleged pressure from powerful interests, including threats to revoke the property owner’s certificate of occupancy if the event went ahead.

He said organisers resolved to proceed regardless, insisting that the convention must hold despite the obstacles.

Galadima described the episode as a test of the opposition’s determination, warning that future political activities, including campaigns, could face similar restrictions.

He maintained that opposition parties must resist any attempt to dictate or suppress their political activities, stressing the need to assert democratic rights regardless of pressure.
