Arsenal F.C. secured a place in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals after a hard-fought goalless draw against Sporting CP at the Emirates Stadium, progressing 1-0 on aggregate.

The decisive moment in the tie came in the first leg, where Kai Havertz scored the only goal in Portugal to give Arsenal the narrow advantage they successfully defended in London.

Although Arsenal began brightly, Sporting created several dangerous chances in the opening half, with Francisco Trincão, Pedro Gonçalves, and Geny Catamo all threatening the home side’s lead. Catamo came closest when his volley struck the post.

The tension increased after halftime as Sporting pressed for an equaliser, but Arsenal remained resilient under pressure. Substitute Leandro Trossard nearly sealed the night with a late header that also hit the woodwork.

Managed by Mikel Arteta, Arsenal now reach consecutive Champions League semi-finals for the first time in club history and will next face Atlético Madrid for a spot in the final.
