Kaduna Electric has issued a stern warning against the rising attacks on its workers, declaring that anyone caught assaulting staff members will be prosecuted and publicly identified.

The power distribution company said incidents involving harassment, physical violence, and unlawful detention of its field personnel—especially those handling metering, bill collection, and infrastructure maintenance have become increasingly alarming.

Deputy Managing Director Abubakar Mohammed said the company is partnering with security agencies to ensure offenders are brought before the law, stressing that violence against workers will no longer be ignored.

As part of its tougher stance, Kaduna Electric says names and photographs of offenders may be published in the media and on official company platforms to serve as a deterrent.

The company also reminded customers that assaulting utility workers can attract criminal penalties, fines, imprisonment, and civil compensation claims, urging the public to resolve disputes through customer service channels instead of violence.
