Governor Caleb Mutfwang has reaffirmed that Plateau State will remain a safe haven for Nigerians displaced by insecurity, particularly from the North-East.
Speaking during a church service in Jos, the governor said his administration is committed to sustaining peace and supporting displaced persons while working toward long-term stability across the state and beyond.
He expressed appreciation to the Church of the Brethren in Nigeria for its support and urged citizens to embrace unity, warning against division and unhealthy rivalry.
Mutfwang noted that while government may not meet every individual need, efforts are focused on addressing collective welfare, including plans to support vulnerable groups such as widows.
He also called on residents to celebrate one another’s progress and contribute to peaceful coexistence.
In his remarks, Reverend Joseph T. Kwaha commended the governor’s leadership, highlighting his swift response to recent security challenges and commitment to peace and stability in the state.
