Russian President Vladimir Putin has assured Iran of Moscow’s support in efforts to restore peace in the Middle East, reaffirming strong bilateral ties during talks in St. Petersburg.
Meeting with Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, Putin said Russia would act in the interest of regional stability and work toward a swift return to peace.
He praised Iran’s resilience amid ongoing tensions and reiterated that both countries would continue strengthening their strategic partnership.
Araghchi, in turn, criticised the United States, saying Washington failed to achieve its objectives in the conflict and is now pushing for negotiations.
He noted that Iran is considering dialogue, while emphasising that ties with Russia remain strong, with both nations continuing close cooperation.
