Speaking during a high-level meeting in Abuja with a delegation led by Governor Caleb Mutfwang, the President stressed the need for dialogue, tolerance, and practical solutions.
He urged leaders to revisit past reports, identify those fueling unrest, and ensure accountability. Tinubu also encouraged the governor to leverage experienced voices across the state to promote unity and lasting peace.
Governor Mutfwang, in response, appreciated the President’s intervention and pledged collective support from stakeholders to chart a new path forward. Traditional leaders at the meeting also called for increased security measures, including more troop deployment and surveillance systems.
As part of relief efforts, the federal government approved ₦2 billion to support victims affected by the recent violence in Plateau State.
