Authorities in the United Kingdom will isolate and test about 24 passengers and crew from a cruise ship linked to a hantavirus scare.

Health officials say none of the individuals currently show symptoms, but they will be taken to a controlled facility for checks on arrival.

The group will be housed at Arrowe Park Hospital, a site previously used during the COVID-19 pandemic for quarantine.

They are expected to stay for at least 72 hours while assessments are carried out, with further isolation decisions to follow.
