Globacom has renewed its sponsorship of the famous Ojude Oba Festival, marking 21 consecutive years of support for one of Nigeria’s biggest cultural celebrations.

The telecom company said the continued partnership reflects its dedication to preserving Nigerian traditions and promoting cultural tourism. Company representative Olumide Orojimi stated that the festival has grown from a local gathering into a globally recognised cultural event through years of collaboration between Globacom and the people of Ijebuland.

This year’s edition carries added significance as it will be the first celebration following the passing of the Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, who played a major role in sustaining the festival’s legacy.

Organisers revealed that participants in age-grade competitions will receive cash prizes, while festival attendees will also have access to various Glo products and internet devices during the event.

Beyond Ojude Oba, Globacom said it remains committed to supporting cultural festivals across Nigeria as part of efforts to preserve heritage, strengthen community identity, and promote African culture globally.
