Senator Ned Nwoko has rejected the outcome of the Delta North APC senatorial primary, alleging that the process was manipulated to favour preferred candidates linked to the state government.
Speaking during an interview with ARISE NEWS, Nwoko claimed the exercise lacked transparency, insisting his camp possesses ward-by-ward results and video evidence showing he won the majority of the 98 wards contested.
The lawmaker accused party leaders of sidelining legacy APC members after the defection of PDP heavyweights into the party, while also alleging that agreements on power-sharing and restructuring within the Delta APC were never honoured.
Despite the dispute, Nwoko said he remains loyal to the APC and expressed confidence that President Tinubu would intervene to ensure fairness, insisting he would not accept any declaration based on “just one ward” while ignoring results from the remaining 97 wards.
