Chairman of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has taken delivery of a new Bombardier Global 8000 business jet valued at approximately $81 million, further expanding the company’s aviation assets.

The ultra-long-range aircraft, acquired under a deal concluded in late 2025, has now officially joined BUA’s corporate fleet. The delivery was publicly confirmed through information shared by Rabiu on social media.

Recognised as one of the newest and most advanced private jets in service, the Global 8000 is designed for intercontinental travel and can accommodate up to 19 passengers while offering extended range and high-speed performance.

The acquisition places Rabiu among a select group of business leaders globally—and one of the first in Africa—to be associated with ownership of the aircraft model.

The jet’s arrival comes amid continued growth across key businesses within the BUA conglomerate. The group’s flagship companies, including BUA Cement and BUA Foods, have recorded strong financial performances, reinforcing the group’s position among Nigeria’s leading indigenous business enterprises.

While recent wealth estimates have valued Rabiu’s fortune at over $11 billion, the immediate focus of the announcement remains the addition of the state-of-the-art aircraft to BUA’s operational fleet, underscoring the company’s increasing investment in corporate mobility and executive travel infrastructure.
