A coordinated operation by the Nigerian Army, DSS, NSCDC and Immigration Service has led to the arrest of 46 foreign nationals in Ogun State during an intelligence-driven crackdown on undocumented migration.

The raid, carried out across Ijebu Imushin, Ijebu Ilese and surrounding communities between June 1 and 15, targeted suspected illegal residents after security reports flagged their activities.

Authorities say the individuals, who include nationals from Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Togo and Senegal, were picked up during simultaneous security operations across multiple locations.

Preliminary findings indicate the group had been living in the state for about six months without valid travel or residence documents. During questioning, they reportedly identified themselves as traders and workers linked to QNet, an online marketing platform.

Security officials confirmed that all 46 suspects have been transferred to the Nigeria Immigration Service for further investigation and processing in line with immigration laws.
