Femi Fani-Kayode Receives Letters of Credence Ahead of Posting as Nigeria’s High Commissioner to South Africa

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has received his Letters of Credence, officially clearing the way for him to begin his diplomatic assignment as Nigeria’s High Commissioner to South Africa, with concurrent accreditation to Lesotho and Eswatini.

Announcing the development in a statement, Fani-Kayode said the documents were presented after he secured the required agrément, with the presentation made on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye.

He said he would now proceed to Pretoria to present his credentials to South African President Cyril Ramaphosa before formally assuming office and commencing his diplomatic responsibilities.

Fani-Kayode described the appointment as an opportunity to once again serve Nigeria, expressing appreciation to President Tinubu for the confidence reposed in him. He also thanked God for the appointment and appealed for prayers as he prepares to begin his new assignment.
