President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has outlined key messages that his supporters and campaign ambassadors should convey to Nigerians in the run-up to the 2027 general elections, emphasising communication of his government’s reforms and achievements, local news reports say.
At the Progressives Governors Forum (PGF) Renewed Hope Ambassadors Summit 2026 held in Abuja, Tinubu and APC leaders charged campaigners with taking the Renewed Hope governance agenda directly to the grassroots, urging them to explain policies and programmes clearly to citizens across the country.
Represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima at the event, the President emphasised the need for organisers to move beyond social media and conference halls and engage people in wards, markets, campuses and communities nationwide so that ordinary Nigerians fully understand what the administration has done and why certain tough decisions were made.
Tinubu stressed that reforms must be explained in simple terms, particularly how they have helped create jobs, improve security, expand economic opportunities and advance national stability. He said campaigners should counter misinformation with facts and help Nigerians see how the government’s vision translates into practical benefits for households and businesses.
Official party leaders at the summit said the 2027 elections will serve as a referendum on the administration’s reforms and leadership, and that unity, coordinated messaging and disciplined grassroots mobilisation will be crucial to electoral success.
